There are some amazing, selfless people living in the Melton area who dedicate much of their time helping others. We want to recognise those people and their efforts on behalf of their community and what better way to do that than with an awards ceremony? The popular Melton Times Community Awards are back for a seventh successive year with categories open for nominations to ensure all those who give their time in support or who overcome adversity or have a remarkable talent get the opportunity to shine! The awards will focus on what makes Melton a great place to live - its people! What makes you swell with pride? Who is your local hero? Who or what is making a difference in your community? We are inviting all readers to nominate someone or some group or organisation they feel is deserving of recognition for all they have achieved for their dedicated service.

All our luck finalists will be invited to a themed reception & buffet at the MV16 Centre, Burton Road, Melton Mowbray on Thursday 15th October 2015.
